Jack E. Lashbrook, 72, of Energy, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:30 A.M., Monday, January 31, 2005 at his residence after a hard-fought battle with Supranuclear Palsy.
Jack had worked for the coal mines for seventeen years before retiring in 1994.  He had served his country for twenty years in the U.S. Air Force including twelve months service in Vietnam.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin.
He was born January 31, 1933 at Du Quoin, the son of Earl E. and Ethel M. (Coffel) Lashbrook.
He married Barbara May Bowie on June 2, 1956 at Cheshire, England and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Energy, daughters - Deborah Lynn Devore and Dale Stacy Devore, Sandra Diane Townsend and Bradley John Townsend, Jacqueline Anne Lashbrook and Kimbra Dawn Schirmer, grandchildren - Ryan Craig Siefert, Jennifer Brooke Devore Earnest, Derek Ray Siefert, Brittany Laine Bellaire, Aubrey Noelle Bellaire Gross and Brandon Michael Townsend, great grandchildren - Jenna Elizabeth Paige Siefert and Jillian May Gross, brothers and sisters - Paul Lashbrook and wife Alberta, Wilma Woodside, Sharon Ping, and Dianne Cavins and husband Bruce, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Private family services were held.
Private family burial will be held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.
